WELCOME TO FLOWBIZ EXPORT PVT LTD

Steam Trap Valve:

In the FlowBiz industry, steam is utilized regularly for heating or as a driving force for automatic power. Steam traps are employed in such applications to ensure moisture is not destroyed. Steam traps are automated valves that filter out condensate (i.e., decreased steam) and non-condensable gases, such as air, without letting steam exit.

Steam trap:

Self-contained valve that automatically drains the condensate from a steam-containing section while remaining tight to live steam or, if necessary, allowing moisture to flow at a managed or changed rate. Most steam traps will also pass non-condensable gases while remaining close to living steam.

Why are steam traps operated?

Steam developed by a boiler contains heat energy used to heat the product. When steam loses its power by heating the product, condensate is formed. After failing this heat, steam gets transformed into condensate. If this condensate is not drained directly as soon as it is included, it can reduce the system's efficiency by slowing the heat transfer to the process. The condensate in a steam system can also cause physical damage due to water hammers or corrosion. Also, a part of the energy held by smoke is lost through radiation losses from pipes and fittings.

It is equally necessary to release air and other non-condensable gases from the steam method for four important reasons.

(1) On start-up, steam joins the system only as fast as the air is vented.

(2) An air steam mixture is well below steam temperature, reducing the heat transfer.

(3) Air is an insulator attached to the pipe or vessel's surface, generating slow and irregular heat transfer.

(4) Dissolved in condensate, the non-condensable gases from acid rust the system.
